The 2024 Sanger SCAD Conference will immerse attendees in a case-based learning environment focused on spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD). Recent research findings on SCAD and updated recommendations for the care of patients with SCAD will be discussed through the lens of the practicing physician caring for the patient who has experienced SCAD.

Engagement in the 2024 Sanger SCAD Conference will provide participants with a fresh perspective on appropriate testing, treatment planning, and clinical recommendations.

Objectives

  • Review clinical dilemmas in the diagnosis of SCAD
  • Explain strategies to help differentiate SCAD from other causes of myocardial infarction
  • Discuss current recommendations for vascular evaluation in patients with history of SCAD
  • Summarize the important clinical history points when evaluating patients with acute chest pain who may have SCAD as the etiology of myocardial infarction
  • Discuss developments in basic and translational research in SCAD
