This is a 2-Day Event! Adult and pediatric expert clinicians will provide focused updates based on the most recent guidelines and evidenced based research.
DAY 1: APP Continuing Education Symposium
Participants will choose adult or pediatric track during registration
Kick off the event with a lively discussion on APP strategy, leadership and evolving practice models. Simultaneous Pediatric and Adult breakout sessions will cover both inpatient and outpatient practice innovations. Structured group discussions will enhance networking and collaboration between APPs, Physicians, and other healthcare professionals from various specialties and practice settings.
Day 1: Pediatric Track Breakout Topics
• Peds Cardiology: Evolution of Pediatric Cardiology and Its Effects on Neurodevelopment
• Peds GI: Pediatric Feeding Issues, GI Troubleshooting & Constipation in the pediatric patient
• Peds ID: Antibiotics
• Peds Derm: Does it itch, Hurt, or Just Look Bad?
• Peds Opioid Lecture: Will fulfill 1-hour requirement
Day 1: Adult Track Breakout Topics
• Cardiology updates
• Pulmonology Updates
• Oncology for the non-oncology provider
• Opioids and the role of medication assisted therapy
• Final topic TBD
DAY 2: Behavioral Health Bootcamp for the Primary Care Provider
Health Care Providers, regardless of their areas of practice, work with patients who have Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorders. The focus of this Boot Camp is to provide non-psychiatric providers with the knowledge and tools to improve their ability to care for these patients in a holistic and patient-centered way.
DAY 2: Complete Agenda
All Participants will attend the following topics:
• Psychopharmacology
• Substance Use Disorder: What You Need to Know
• Addictions Panel: How Can We Help?
Two Breakout Tracks: Participants will Choose 3 Sessions. Topics Include:
• Personality Disorders
• Eating Disorders
• Psychotic Disorders
• Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Anxiety Disorders Geriatric Disorders
• Geriatric Psychiatry
