Description

This knowledge-based CPE activity will provide the healthcare professional with a better understanding of the 2021 ADA Guidelines and recent primary literature about medication regimens for patients with type 2 diabetes. It will enable them to make more informed, patient-centered decisions and recommendations in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Continuing Education Credit For Pharmacists:
The University Of North Carolina Eshelman School Of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. • Describe the new treatment options available for type 2 diabetes
• Compare and contrast the available treatment options in light of available safety, efficacy and outcomes data.
• Given a patient case, construct a patient-specific treatment plan that accounts for safety, outcomes and patient preferences and characteristics
