What is Long COVID? Who does it affect? What are the health inequities that exist within the infected population? Find out the answers to all these questions and more by taking this one-hour, self-paced, online module.
This program is designed for community health workers, community advocates and health educators. The course will address the skills required for effective patient education. These include, health literacy assessment, reading, writing, listening, speaking, numeracy, and critical analysis as well as communication and interaction skills. The participant will have the opportunity within the program to practice the use of plain language and teach back methods as effective tools to communicate and confirm patient understanding. Additional information on educational and community resources for the health care educator will be discussed.
