Target Audience
Rehab Professionals (PT,OT, ATC, PT and OT assistants)
Description
This course is designed for rehabilitation professionals who desire to enhance their knowledge in the treatment of the foot and ankle complex. Common pathologies covered will include tendinopathy, ligament sprains, osteochondral defects, and fractures as well as insight into common surgical procedures. The treatment approach consists of manual therapy application, clinically reasoning to exercise prescription, and understanding of shoe and orthotic design and application. At the end of the course the participant should feel comfortable developing a thorough plan of care and treating the wide variety of foot and ankle pathologies.
NOTE:
Participants are strongly encouraged to take the training, "Clinical Reasoning to Evaluation of the Foot and Ankle Complex" prior to attending this training.

- Learner will have basic understanding of shoe and orthotic design and application;
- Learner will feel comfortable with taping application based on the resources provided.
