This knowledge-based CPE activity will help pharmacists become aware and more comfortable with the different treatment modalities available for patients with opioid use disorders, and to identify those that will respond best to each therapy.

Objectives

  • Recognize the pathophysiology for opioid use disorders
  • Compare the benefits of each pharmacologic therapy for OUD
  • Identify the limitations of each therapeutic option for OUD
  • Select which medication assisted treatment option for OUD to use in specific patients
