Course Date - Saturday, November 11, 2017 - 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
The KT4 Pediatric course is designed to provide advanced Kinesio Taping® techniques and problem-solving to physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, massage therapists, athletic trainers, and other health professionals specializing in pediatrics. Kinesio Taping® is a method of treatment for musculoskeletal and Myofascial disorders. Kinesio Taping® can be used during physical activity and in conjunction with many therapeutic interventions. Attendees will review theory and basic taping techniques, learn advanced and combination techniques, and develop clinical reasoning skills relevant to the pediatric population. The course will also provide commonly used taping techniques for specific diagnoses, including cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, torticollis, and brachial plexus injury; as well as pediatric sports related injuries.

Pre-Requisites:
Day 1 & 2 (KT 1 & 2) and Day 3 (KT3) documentation (Attendance Verification Form and Certificate of Completion) must be provided when an attendee registers for this course.
Attendees will need to bring scissors and dress appropriately - you will need to be prepared for trunk, upper and lower extremity taping (Tank tops, shorts or similar clothing is recommended to wear during class).

Objectives
- Correctly describe the fundamental concepts of Kinesio Taping® Method principles, properties and techniques as it applies to Pediatrics
- Identify three specific muscle synergies/patterns and Kinesio Taping® techniques to facilitate muscle balance and alignment
- Discuss commonly used Kinesio Taping® techniques for pediatric diagnoses
- Analyze and develop strategies for treatment utilizing Kinesio Taping®
- Demonstrate four advanced Kinesio Taping® techniques and their application to pediatric patients
- Describe adjunctive treatment options for specific pediatric diagnosis
