Description

Healthcare professionals often see patients who complain of tinnitus as a secondary symptom. This 1.5-hour live webinar will focus on research-based treatment options and the role of Audiology in supporting patients with tinnitus. The causes, diagnosis, and management options for patients with this challenging symptom will be presented.

Patricia Johnson, AuD
Doctor of Audiology and Associate Professor, UNC School of Medicine.
Dr. Johnson specializes in adult hearing rehabilitation, tinnitus and hearing technology. She divides her time seeing patients around the Triangle and teaching graduate students in the Division of Speech and Hearing Science

  • Verbalize understanding of tinnitus assessment and current management options.
  • Demonstrate understanding of referral options for patients with tinnitus and the role of the audiologist.
