Description

Gastroenterology (GI) is a rapidly changing field. It is estimated that at least 142 billion dollars is spent on care of GI complaints and greater than 10% of a Primary Care Provider's time will be spent managing chronic GI complaints. GI societies and health systems have recognized the community screening rates especially minority populations is well below target goals.

This program is designed to highlight high-yield GI based content that will allow for Primary Care Providers to more effectively manage their current and future patients with GI based complaints and demonstrate when referral is appropriate. Additionally, there has been recent developments in the timing to begin colon cancer screenings and the appropriate surveillance intervals.
