This program is being offered in cooperation with UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing.

This program will discuss and review the substance abuse trends in school setting and provide school nurses with tools to guide their care for school-aged children related to substance abuse issues in school setting.

• Recognize the red flags in the assessment of students that may be abusing both prescription and non-prescription drugs and illegal substances.
• Examine the strategies for those at risk and those actively using substances.
