AMH+ Primary Care Practices, Care Management Agencies (CMA), Addiction Professionals, Physicians, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors, Public Health Professionals, Psychologists, Marriage and Family Therapists, Care Coordinators, Nurses, I/DD Providers, Social Workers, Case Managers and All interested behavioral health and healthcare professionals

Description

This course will train healthcare workers in Person Centered Thinking in developing service plans that work collaboratively with their behavioral health goals and will provide brief motivational interviewing techniques to work collaboratively with patients to establish healthcare goals.

This is a program of NC AHEC and an approved program from NC DHHS. Funding for this program has been provided by NC DHHS.
Participants using material for the tailored care management requirements must attend the entire program to receive credit.

1. LIVE - As a series of 25 webinars between January and May of 2023
a. You will register for each course separately and receive a certificate for each completed course
2. RECORDED – As one class containing all 25 sessions, available July of 2023.
a. You will register once, for the sessions you need, and receive one certificate upon completion of the last session

*Please note the following: you can mix and match live and recorded sessions, but the recorded sessions will not be available for registration until July of 2023.

  • Identify one way MI concepts enhance person centered thinking & planning
  • Identify the 5 concepts in developing goals that are successful
