Target Audience

Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses

Description

This annual summit will provide updates in advanced bronchoscopy and pulmonary medicine topics provided by a diverse group of physicians to an audience of fellow physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and respiratory therapists. This is the first virtual format for this conference.

Accreditation and Credit Information:
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Atrium Health and Society for Advanced Bronchoscopy. Atrium Health is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Atrium Health designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 5.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AAPA accepts certificate of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Physician Assistants may receive a maximum of 24.5 hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program.

ANCC and the North Carolina Board of Nursing accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from the organizations accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

Objectives

  • Assess the role of advanced bronchoscopy in the palliation of advanced pulmonary disease
  • Discuss advantages/disadvantages to new technology as it relates to diagnosis and therapeutics in lung disease
  • Apply knowledge to the building of practices with focus on screening of nodules and early detection of lung cancer
