Target Audience

If you are a CMO, CEO, CNO, an ED or OB Physician, mid level provider, Nurse Manager, Clinical Supervisor, Accreditation Coordinator, or you work in the Quality department, this is a program for you.

Description

Please join us for our 2nd Biannual Carolinas Accreditation Update Conference. During the course of this program you will receive the latest information, education, consultation, and feedback focused on the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act. Renowned speaker, Robert A. Bitterman, MD, JD, FACEP, will deliver a presentation on the EMTALA requirements, compliance issues, and most frequently cited deficiencies for hospitals.

This event is open to everyone interested in learning about this law. EMTALA requires most hospitals to provide an examination and needed stabilizing treatment, without consideration of insurance coverage or ability to pay, when a patient presents to an emergency room, or labor and delivery department for attention.

This event is being jointly provided by Charlotte AHEC and CHS Accreditation Department
