Description

A symposium for cardiologists and general internists. Practical approaches to the management of patients with cardiac failure and complex arrhythmias. This conference will guide cardiac electro-physiologists and cardiac failure specialists on how they should interface with specialist and generalist colleagues to optimize patient care.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
*Understand the role of thrombin inhibitors in stroke prevention for atrial fibrillation
*Understand the role of antiarrhythmic drugs, catheter, and surgical ablation in patients with longstanding atrial fibrillation
*Understand options for management of diuretic resistant CHF patients
*Be competent to assess the significance of pulmonary hypertension in CHF patients
