2012 NC Health Professions Diversity Conference

This conference will be of interest to and benefit leaders of institutions of higher education, faculty and staff working in pipeline programs and in other initiatives designed to enhance the diversity of the health professions, health care professionals, government officials and policy makers, healthcare administrators, nonprofit organizations and funders with a healthcare focus, professional associations and students.
The North Carolina AHEC Program and Winston-Salem State University School of Health Sciences will co-host the North Carolina Health Professions Diversity Conference, August 29-30, 2012 at the Grandover Hotel and Conference Center in Greensboro, NC. The theme of this year’s conference is “Showcasing Success - Creating Equity in Opportunity.” This two-day conference will focus on showcasing models and strategies that have proven successful in recruiting and retaining students in health professional programs as well as maintaining a diverse workforce setting. It will also focus on creating networks, partnerships and collaborations with others around the state of North Carolina that share the same interests in creating equity in opportunity in the health workforce.
