Our worlds were turned upside down from the global pandemic of 2020. We had to unlearn, re-learn, and re-think. Being able to mentally pivot and recalibrate became essential skills. Now that life is re-stabilizing, we can examine our professional landscape more objectively and with perspective. This workshop is designed to engage the examination process. Through a lens of professional ethics, we will investigate the challenges of 2020 and how our respective professions responded to the challenges. We will take a close and critical look at what we got right, what we got wrong, and how we can forge an informed path for the future. Professional ethics codes will serve as a guide for developing a plan for “Re-Vision.” The Re-Vision plan will include strategies for radical self-care, resilience building, and professional compassion renewal. The training will demonstrate how all of these are professional, ethical responsibilities that we must develop in order to maintain competence.
