Description

This quarterly series is designed for nurses to learn more about current issues related to telehealth care. The one-hour sessions will provide up-to-date information presented by subject experts on hot topics relevant to telehealth nursing. Each session will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month through a live webinar from 2 – 3 PM. The series is open to anyone interested in attending!

Session 1- January 13, 2021: COVID-19 Pandemic and Vaccination Updates

Learning Outcome:
To provide up to date knowledge that are relevant to tele health nurses for their daily work.

CE Credit:
1.0 Nursing Contact Hour / 1.0 Contact Hour / 0.1 CEU will be awarded to attendees who participate in the entire session. Nurses can earn up to 3.0 nursing contact hours / 3.0 contact hours / 0.3 CEU for this event.

Objectives

  • Recognize pandemic trajectory and future predictions.
  • Review data on currently available COVID vaccines.
  • List potential adverse reactions to vaccine and management.
  • Assess current state of well-being in a virtual environment.
  • Discuss multi-dimension approach to improving/maintaining overall well-being while working in a virtual environment.
  • Describe how COVID-19 resulted in social isolation.
  • Describe the populations most affected by social isolation.
  • Describe how to intervene and reduce adverse effects of social isolation
