Description

This course will briefly review current literature regarding the impact of early mobility on patient outcomes. Important medical implications will be reviewed as they relate to safe decision making for rehabilitation intervention. Common preoperative diagnoses will be discussed, focusing on clinical presentation and rehabilitation interventions before and after thoracic surgeries and lung transplantation. A variety of case examples will be included to exhibit rehabilitation interventions across the continuum of care.
