This event is funded through Mecklenburg County ReCAST, a SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) grant awarded to Mecklenburg County Public Health. ReCAST supports community-based approaches to improved behavioral health and violence prevention for youth and families that strengthen ways communities collectively reduce trauma and engage and empower residents for sustained community change and healing.
Who Should Attend?
This event is a follow-up extended learning session that's open to the individuals who completed the Resiliency Educator Apprenticeship Program (REAP) and are working toward their certification as a resiliency educator. (MUST HAVE A CODE TO REGISTER)
Reconnect for Resilience™ Extended Learning for REAP Trainers offers past participants an opportunity to practice the resiliency tools, ask questions, and share ideas and resources with one another. Those interested in participating may pick one of twelve sessions to practice - however, participants may stay logged in to view other people's practice events to gain more experience and exposure to the topics. By staying longer, participants will gain additional time to facilitate/demonstrate within practice groups.
The Reconnect for Resilience™ Extended Learning for REAP Trainers provides opportunities for guaranteed teach-back sessions. Participants MUST register for a session to secure a time slot. Participants are encouraged and welcome to stay beyond their session time to watch and encourage others.
