The symposium will address a wide range of innovative topics including Cosmetic Dentistry, Periodontal Health and Esthetics, as well as Oral Cancer Screening and Tobacco Cessation led by renowned speakers. An added bonus for dentists will include an opioid prescribing course required for dental license renewal in 2020. Objectives

  • Combine the new patient experience with optimal-care treatment planning so that your practice can thrive
  • Examine the facts and statistics about the national prescription opioid drug epidemic and the dentist’s role in reversing the problem
  • Gain an understanding of the role of Oral Medicine specialists in multidisciplinary patient care
  • Review hard and soft tissue regenerative therapy as a means to establish health and allow patients to keep their teeth that otherwise would be extracted
  • Learn how to thoroughly tailor a treatment plan for a patient who is pregnant
  • Explain the oral effects of tobacco use and describe prescribing pharmacotherapy for tobacco use cessation
