Want to make sure your teaching strategies are engaging and purposeful? Then you should attend this workshop to discover strategies on how to create and deliver effective educational activities/experiences. Specific topics that will be discussed include writing course objectives, program development and delivery methods, program evaluation techniques, the use of technology in the classroom, tips on creating effective PowerPoint(TM) presentation, and legal considerations related to education.

This interactive seminar is designed for all nurse educators, new and experienced, and is appropriate for various roles such as staff development, clinical educators, patient education, faculty, preceptors, or anyone involved/interested in teaching. During the seminar, there will be multiple opportunities for interactive discussion as well as hands-on experiences.

About the Speaker
Pam Collins, MSN, CMSRN, RN-BC
Pam has more than 35 years of varied nursing experience. She has worked as a staff/charge nurse for medical-surgical and pediatric units. Her experience also includes nurse management, nursing administration, nursing education and consulting. While Pam currently works as an independent consultant, she maintains her skills by working as a clinical educator for medical-surgical and specialty surgery at an acute care facility in Charlotte, NC. Pam is dually certified in medical-surgical nursing from the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Additionally, she has partnered with various nursing schools to assist nursing students in their preparation for the NCLEX Exam.
Pam speaks nationally on clinical and legal topics for the healthcare professional. Her passion is evidenced by her energy, presentation style and ability to engage the audience. She was awarded the 2013 South Carolina Educator of the Year Award by the South Carolina AHEC Consortium and considers it a privilege to share her expertise.
