Course Dates & Times:
Day 1 - Friday, August 9, 2019 - 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Day 2 - Saturday, August 10, 2019 - 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Current research in the combined fields of neuroscience and epigenetics is rewriting what was previously understood about neuroplasticity in our patient populations. Skillfully weaving evidence-based mindfulness techniques, like Tai Chi, into clinical physical and occupational therapy practice can compound beneficial outcomes. Automatic recalibration can and does influence clinical practice in reproducibly meaningful ways.
The therapy provider can offer dexterous practice applications of time-honored and scientifically supported mindfulness techniques to help patients, athletes, workers and corporate clientele reach optimum potential.
This growing field is extremely gratifying to the serious practitioner seeking to build a systematic, 21st century practice in thoughtful, therapeutic, mind-body medicine.
This class is based on TaijiFit™ and will include lectures and labs.
Participants should dress in comfortable clothing to move in for the experiential lab sessions.
