This activity is jointly provided by Charlotte AHEC and Families Managing Media.

Experts from around the country will speak on the timely topic of childhood media addiction at the Kids and Screens: Causes and Cures for Digital Addiction Conference. This first-of-its-kind event will cover topics such as the diagnosis of childhood gaming disorders and addiction, media violence, social media depression, screen-related obesity and sleep disorders in teens, and the psychology of virtual persuasive design. We will examine the wide range of research with an emphasis on treatment strategies for effective outcomes.
