Description

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) has long been a controversial subject.

This subject is getting even more attention now that we are in the middle of a nationwide opioid crisis. This training will discuss MAT - its pros and its cons. We will also discuss different medications and how they work.

There will be discuss about harm reduction, meeting clients where they are and the medical model along with talking about what our fears are as counselors and Medication Assisted Treatment.
