This course is designed to prepare new patient navigators and improve current patient navigation knowledge and skills. The goal of this course is to review and discuss the core competencies of patient navigation including roles and responsibilities, health literacy,health disparities, motivational interviewing, and HIPAA/patient rights. Participants will be prepared to facilitate access to health services and community resources for various populations.
