Join us for the 10th Annual Atrium Health Nursing Research Symposium: Inspired to Innovate!

Be inspired as you listen to your nursing colleagues share their stories of innovation. Don’t know where to start? Participate in a panel discussion on how to ask the right clinical question to get your project off the ground. Feel like an imposter in the research world? Gain confidence from a panel of experts who will explore and share practical tips on how to conquer doubts and move your ideas to innovation!

Featured Speaker on Sustaining New Innovations
Rebecca R. Kitzmiller, PhD, MHR, RN, BC
UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing
This presentation is being offered in cooperation with UNC CH SON
Dr. Kitzmiller is an Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina, School of Nursing, Faculty Member, Carolina’s Health Informatics Program and Visiting Professor of Research at the University of Virginia. Rebecca has over 30 years’ experience as a leader in military, civilian and academic health care settings. Her research aims to develop interventions that promote leader behaviors that foster commitment to change among staff members and thus improve the uptake of new care innovations.

Learning Outcome
Participants will be able to utilize and implement into practice, the knowledge gained from this symposium focusing on nursing research and evidence-based nursing practices to improve patient care.

CE Credit
5.0 Nursing Contact Hours will be awarded. Participants are required to review a minimum of ten virtual posters related to nursing research, EBP, PI, and COVID Practice Changes Projects.

The Charlotte Area Health Education Center is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Call for Abstracts
Nurses and other health professionals collaborating with nurses are invited to submit abstracts reporting their research/scholarship, evidence based practice (EBP) projects or Quality (PI or QI) projects. All abstracts are due February 16, 2022. All will be notified by February 25,2022. Please click here to access the application.
