Description

This course will review qualifying diagnoses for advanced heart failure therapies and the current available therapies. Various cardiac surgeries will be reviewed with case examples to exhibit rehabilitation interventions across the continuum of care. The role of rehabilitation staff as part of the interdisciplinary team will be examined, identifying current roles and future opportunities.

  • Examine progression of rehabilitation interventions from the pre-operative stage to discharge.
