Nurses
The overall goal of this module is to increase the awareness and identification of non-fatal strangulation victims in Mecklenburg county. Through county wide education of prehospital providers, Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, the District Attorney's office, and emergency department providers. These victims will now receive standardized forensic nurse examinations that will lead to increased prosecution of perpetrators by the district attorney's office.
