Nurses and healthcare providers encounter patients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in every practice area. In order to provide better care for the patients with Substance Use Disorder, nurses and healthcare professionals must need to understand the disorder itself. This course will provide participants with information about addiction that can be useful in their practice setting. The participants will learn about the neurobiology of addiction, Withdrawal Process & Common Medications, tobacco and vaping issues along with evidence-based practices and working with nurses with impaired practice.
