Description

The goal of this program is to teach researchers at LCI how to develop a research project, apply for grant funding, and build upon each project to create a research program. We will cover topics such as how to plan the project, incorporate correlatives such as molecular assays into the project, write manuscripts and protocols, design clinical trials and prepare grant applications.
In addition, we will introduce/review biostatistics and bioinformatics, budgets, research contracts, and INDs/IDEs (Investigation New Drugs/Investigation New Devices) applications.

Levine Cancer Institute strives to become a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center; To receive this LCI needs to demonstrate the quality of its cancer research (laboratory research, population science and clinical research). This course will provide LCI physicians with the information and resources they need to efficiently and effectively develop a sustainable research program.
