Description

Design  thinking  is  an  innovation  methodology  implemented  across sectors and industries  to reach successful and scalable solutions. Design thinking has the potential to unleash people’s  creative  confidence,  win  support  for  projects,  de-risk  initiatives,  radically  improve  processes,  and  lead  to  successful  innovation  outcomes. This  introductory  course  will  give  participants hands-on experience in implementing inclusive and reusable processes, abilities, and tools of design thinking.

ACHE Credits Information
The Charlotte AHEC is authorized to award 4.25 hours of pre-approved ACHE Qualified Education credit for this program toward advancement, or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in this program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit must self-report their participation. To self-report, participants must log into their MyACHE account and select “My Education Credit” to log hours earned.

Objectives

• Identify the 5 modes of the Design Thinking process: Empathy, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test.
• Discuss the importance of problem framing and definition
• Discover ways to  gain empathy, ideate solutions, and prototype ideas that solve real problems for real people.
