Description

The goal of the 2019 LGBTQ Symposium is to increase participant's knowledge base in order to provide culturally competent care for LGBTQ patients throughout their life spectrum. This symposium is built upon the recent educational needs assessment results, experts will provide information on full spectrum care for LGBTQ populations. Breakout sessions will be offered for basic and specialty topics to tailor the educational needs of healthcare professionals.

6.0 Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Contact Hours
Charlotte AHEC Nursing Education is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Nurses must attend at least 90% of the program in order to receive the full CE contact hours.

6.0 Clock Hours NBCC

Charlotte AHEC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5096. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Charlotte AHEC is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.
