Objectives

• Discuss heart failure patient management after Cardiac Resyncronization Therapy implantation focusing on best practices and considerations to optimize non-responders.
• Explore patient outcomes of His Bundle Pacing vs. traditional pacing with review of His bundle physiology, selective vs. non-selective pacing and implant techniques.
• Explore a systematic approach to tachyarrhythmia differentiation including tracings, physiology, and etiology.
• Review of CABANA Study design, inclusion criteria, and findings with consideration for special populations.
• Discuss prevention, changes in risk scoring, and anticoagulation choices.
• Review the literature on the relationship between AF burden and stroke rate.
• Review the 2019 focused guideline update and long-term follow-up data for the Watchman device utilizing a case-based approach.
• Discuss best practices as presented for the management of atrial fibrillation.
• Explore the implications for patients and families of early and ongoing shared decision making regarding cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIED) and end-of-life care.
• Compare and contrast radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation including review of biophysics and outcomes with a look towards the future.
• Explore procedure specific use of tools such as anatomical mapping and ICE for low or no fluoro exposure for elecvtrophysiology procedures.
• Identify appropriate patient selection and procedural considerations for epicardial ventricular tachycardia ablation.
• Describe a case-based approach to the role of ventricular tachycardia ablation as primary therapy versus antiarrhythmics.
• Examine guideline-directed therapy and management implications for antiarrhythmic medications in the acute and outpatient settings.
• Identify and utilize essential data within a device report to optimize patient outcomes.
• Discuss ICD programming for primary and secondary prevention.
• Explore complex device questions or complications using real world case examples.
• Review of vendor specific algorithms and their impact on patient outcomes and longevity.
