Description

Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally. Schizophrenia symptoms include distorted thoughts, hallucinations, and feelings of fright and paranoia.

This program will review the experience of schizophrenia across the life course, from onset in adolescence and early adulthood, through aging populations. The program will also review evidence-based biopsychosocial treatment approaches, including coordinated specialty care teams for early intervention, cognitive behavioral therapy, clinical case management, family psychoeducation and psychosocial rehabilitation.
