Kinesio University Pre-Requisites:
In order to attend the Kinesio Taping® Advanced Techniques and Clinical Reasoning (Day 3), each attendee must have completed the Kinesio University Seminar KT1 & KT2. ***Certificate of Completion may be requested to verify attendance***

In order to attend a Kinesio Taping® seminar, Kinesio University requires that each attendee must meet all of the following criteria:
1. Must have completed 80 course hours of anatomy and physiology
2. Must have a working knowledge of the musculoskeletal system
3. Must be able to do assessments by evaluating and/or diagnosing injuries and conditions
4. Must have achieved or is a student in their junior or senior year (transcripts must be provided) working towards one or more of the following credentials: ARNP, ATC, CAT(C), CCSP, CDP, CHT, CLT, CMBT, CMT, CNMT, COMT, COTA, COTA/L, CPO, CPT, CPTA, CRN, CST, CT, DC, DO, DOM, DPT, Lac, LAT, LLCC, LMBT, LMP, LMT, LOT, LOTA, LPT, LPTA, MD, MDT, MLD, MOT, MOTR/L, MPT, MT, MTC, NCMT, NCTMB, NDT, NMD, NMT, NP, NRC, OCS, ODT, OMD, OPA, OT, OTA, OTC, OTR, OTR/L, PT, PT-C, PTA, PA, RMT, RN, RPT, RPTA, SLP, Paramedics and Kinesiologists.

The Kinesio Taping® Certification Course (Day 3/formerly KT3) combines KT1 and KT2 coursework with extra lab time for attendees to practice their skills on a variety of clinical applications. KT3 is designed to allow the instructor to cater towards specific practitioner protocols, clinical applications, and practitioner population and address specific professions (pediatrics, hand therapy, sports medicine, chiropractic, etc.) or clinical conditions (stroke, scoliosis, lymphadema, etc.).

Upon completion of this course and prerequisite KT1, KT2 seminar, attendees will be eligible to request and take the exam to become a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP)

Note: Students can request to take the exam, but will not receive CKTP certificate until they graduate.

Students will need to bring scissors and dress appropriately - you will need to be prepared for trunk, upper and lower extremity taping (Tank tops, shorts or similar clothing is recommended to wear during class).

Occupational Therapy:
As of July 1, 2018, the NCBOT no longer accepts applications for pre-approval of CCAs. OT practitioners need to make sure they are completing activities that comply with Section .0800 of the NCBOT Rules.

Charlotte AHEC, NC AHEC system, is an approved provider by the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners with regard to activities directly related to physical therapy for continued competence.

  • Demonstrate application of advanced Circulatory Lymphatic Correction Technique – Basket Weave
  • Demonstrate application of advanced Space Correction Technique – Scar Management techniques
