Social workers, psychologists, licensed professional counselors, educators, school personnel, mental health professionals, clinicians, health and human service practitioners, and other health care professionals.
Ethics shape our sense of right and wrong, and inform our everyday professional actions. With the increasing use of technology in personal and professional settings, new and complex ethical issues arise. This workshop will explore ethical standards from a variety of disciplines related to the use of technology and social media in professional practice. Trends and themes associated with technology related ethics standards will be considered. Participants will have an opportunity to analyze ethical scenarios and apply existing technology related standards to identify and resolve ethical challenges. Implications for ethical practice in the digital age will be reviewed.
