This workshop is designed to engage the Occupational Therapy practitioner in learning how to adapt evaluation tools and processes to maximize the participation and response of adult patients with aphasia in assessment and goal setting.

The session will cover current evaluation tools that pose challenges or benefits for use with patients with aphasia, as well as address how to modify other tools for use. In addition, the concept of communication ramps will be introduced and participants will engage in simulation to practice specific communication strategies, including construction of a communication notebook.
