Summit Information:
This one-day educational conference is especially designed for professionals who work with teens. All of the keynote presentations and breakout sessions focus on interventions, resources, and solutions to help professionals work with adolescents and teenagers dealing with mental illness, substance use disorders, and other behavioral health issues.

Morning Keynote Speaker (8:15 - 9:30am)


Jasmine Mickle, Project Manager for Benchmarks’ Partnering for Excellence, will present “Understanding the Impact of Traumatic Stress in Adolescence".

Lunch (11:30am - 12:45pm) and Closing (2:30 - 3:45pm) Keynote Speaker


Dr. Betty Rintoul, Executive Director of Encouraging Connections, will present “Toxic Stress and the Brain: Risk & Resilience” in a two-part keynote series.
Part 1: Toxic Stress and Early Brain Development
Part 2: Buffering Stress through Responsive Relationships

    The Charlotte Area Health Education Center and the Partners Behavioral Health Management are cosponsors of this program. This co-sponsorship has been approved by NBCC. Charlotte Area Health Education Center is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5096. The ACEP solely is responsible for this program, including the awarding of NBCC credit.
