This knowledge-based CPE activity will provide the healthcare professional with key strategies and best practices necessary to maintain an effective pediatric antimicrobial stewardship program.

Objectives

  • List common allergies in the pediatric population and guideline approved alternatives
  • Explain common disease states and their treatment in the pediatric population
  • Discuss the role a pharmacist can have on microbial stewardship in the outpatient setting
