Description

This course is designed to introduce you to human factors, a field dedicated to studying how humans interact with technology, systems, and each other to improve safety, increase productivity, and reduce errors. We will examine how humans process incoming information and how errors can occur to anyone. This course highlights that most adverse events should not result in blaming someone but rather looking at how the system failed to prevent the error from occurring and we will discuss strategies to prevent future errors from occurring.
