About the Public Health Program

Charlotte AHEC's Public Health team is committed to providing continuing education and technical assistance to public health directors, boards of health, environmental health specialists, social workers, nurses, nutritionists, health educators, and all others who work in the public health sector.

Our goals include:

  • Offering a wide array of trainings with expert facilitators and consultants using the method that best suits your needs, including on-site or off-site workshops or teleconferences.
  • Providing quality educational opportunities in rural and urban areas and promoting diversity and cultural competence.
  • Responding to the current needs and trends in public health in a timely manner by planning and providing continuing education opportunities.
