Kerry Burch, MPH
Kerry Burch, MPH is the Healthy Carolinians Coordinator at the Mecklenburg County Health Department in Charlotte, NC. She is responsible for creating and supporting partnerships and coalitions to address priority health issues in the county. Health literacy is one of her priority areas and she has delivered several trainings on health literacy and written communication to healthcare providers and other health professionals. In addition to providing educational trainings, Kerry consults with local agencies to develop readable materials. Kerry completed her Master's degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and has worked in several areas of public health including responsible sexual behavior, adolescent health, tobacco prevention, and physical activity and nutrition initiatives.

Megan N. Dean, MPH, RD, LDN
Megan Dean, MPH, RD, LDN received a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences with a minor in nutrition in 2006 from North Carolina State University. After finishing her undergraduate degree she continued her education at UNC-Chapel Hill where she pursued a Master's degree in Public Health Nutrition. While in the graduate program she also became a Registered Dietitian and is a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of North Carolina. Shortly after completing her Master's degree, in October 2008 she started her career at Mecklenburg County Health Department and is a Registered Dietitian in the Health Promotion Program.

Michael J. Gabriel, PharmD, BS
Michael Gabriel, PharmD received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from The Ohio State University. Prior to coming to the Charlotte AHEC, he worked at Duke University Medical Center as a Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator. Currently, his clinical practice is with the Internal Medicine Service at Carolinas Medical Center and is also Clinical Assistant Professor for UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

Richard Reinholz, M.S.
Richard Reinholz, M.S. is the Senior Director of Membership, Fitness and Wellness Programs for the YMCA of Greater Charlotte (University City) Charlotte, NC. He is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to the wellness team which consists of the Active Older Adults Coordinator, Carolinas Medical Center Nurse (Medical Referral Program), and Group Exercise Coordinator. He graduated from Pfeiffer University, Misenheimer, NC with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science, and went on to received his Master of Exercise Science from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Greensboro, NC.
