Cynthia Conner is a Charlotte native and graduated from UNCC with a BS in Nursing. She has worked in pediatrics for the Carolinas Health Care System for over 31 hears She has specialized in pediatric pulmonology since 1992. She currently works in the Levine Children's Specialty Center. She is a certified asthma educator and was the recipient of the Association of Asthma Educators Asthma Educator of the year in 2009.

Mary Webster, MSN, RN, CCM, AE-C

Mary Webster is a Charlotte native and graduated from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing with a diploma in nursing, Queens University for the BSN, and Walden University for her MSN. She has worked for Carolinas Healthcare since 2000 starting there as a pediatric outcomes manager. Her interest in asthma started in 2004 while investigating pediatric asthma hospital and emergency room utilization. She joined Charlotte AHEC in 2006 to work as a quality improvement coach on a pediatric asthma care improvement grant. Currently she is the Director of the REC/HIT and Quality Grants team at Charlotte AHEC and remains active in quality improvement teaching and coaching. She maintains her Certification in Asthma Education and enjoys community involvement in asthma education and advocacy.

David Hudson, MSN, RN is a registered nurse with over 17 years clinical experience. His past roles include Staff Nurse for medical surgical units, ICU, PACU and the ED at Carolinas Medical Center. He was an Assistant Manager in the ED at CMC and the Nurse Manager for the ED at CMC-Mercy. He has several years experience with new nurse orientation and nursing continuing education.

Dr. Linda Moore, EdD, APRN, BC (ANP, GNP), MSCN

Dr. Linda Moore, EdD, APRN, BC (ANP, GNP), MSCN graduated from Duke University with a BSN, from University of Virginia with MSN and EdD, and from University of North Carolina at Greensboro with Adult and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner post graduate work. She has taught at UVA and UNC Charlotte teaching both graduate and undergraduate nursing students. She has been the Nurse Practitioner at Carolinas HealthCare Systems, Multiple Sclerosis Center for approximately 12 years.

Linda Moore received the NGNA award for Gerontological Nursing, grants for research with communication evaluation and techniques with persons with Alzheimer’s Dementia, and presentations on communication and MS care. She has also published in areas of Dementiaand communication and with care of Multiple Sclerosis clients.

Kaylynne Murn, RN, BSN has 25 years of nursing experience and is a diploma grad. She returned to BSN completion from Carlow University (Carlow College at that time) in Pittsburgh. She has held a multitude of positions from Telemetry to CVICU to Administration, and was a Flight Nurse in the US Air Force for 12 years. Kaylynne Murn is currently a Staff Nurse III at Carolinas Medical Center - University in the Emergency Department.

Catherine Westbay, RN is a Staff Nurse III in the Emergency Department at Carolinas Medical Center - University in Charlotte, NC. She has 25 years of nursing experience. Her teaching background includes serving as an ACLS and ACLS EP Instructor for the American Heart Association (AHA), serving at Community Training Center Faculty for the AHA and currently holds TNCC and ENPC provider status.

Donald S. Nuzum, PharmD, CPP

Donald S. Nuzum, PharmD, CPP, is a Pharmacist with nearly 10 years of experience in managing and educating patients, training pharmacy/medical students and residents, and publishing in the area of cardiometabolic disorders and their complications. Dr. Nuzum is also one of fewer than 100 active pharmacists to be granted prescriptive authority as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner by the North Carolina Medical Board. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Texas at Arlington and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. In addition, he completed two years of residency training at the University of Colorado at Denver specializing in Ambulatory Care/Family Medicine. Dr. Nuzum is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacy at Wingate University School of Pharmacy and a clinical faculty member with the Carolinas Medical Center Rural Family Medicine Residency Program, both just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina.

In addition to his roles as lecturer, preceptor, and clinical practitioner, Dr. Nuzum is regularly invited to provide continuing education programs in the areas of cardiometabolic disorders and cardiovascular risk reduction. He is recognized for the interactive nature of his programs, his ability to break down complex concepts into serviceable information, as well as the integration of the most pertinent aspects of the basic sciences and pharmacology with real-life clinical scenarios in his lectures and presentations. His efforts have resulted in teaching awards, nominations for Teacher of the Year, and annual invites to speak at state and regional university, Area Health Education Center (AHEC), and professional organization meetings.

Lisa Snow served 5 years as an internal organizational development consultant for a rural hospital setting in problem solving and outcome achievement in the areas of patient satisfaction, physician relationships; also served in nursing administration for various acute and long term care facilities, and taught nursing and/or leadership development topics for 20 years in both the academic and professional development arenas.

Margaret D. Valderrey, RN, MSN, is a Registered Professional Nurse who graduated from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing of Case Western University, Cleveland, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed a Masters of Science Degree in Psychiatric - Mental Health Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from Syracuse University.

She has many years of experience in Clinical Nursing in Public Health, Medical - Surgical, Orthopedic - Trauma, and Rehabilitation direct patient care. She has expertise in Psychiatric - Mental Health Nursing in the hospital and community setting as well as in private practice.

Her experience has included Leadership roles in Nursing Management and Administration in several large teaching medical centers in Boston, Cleveland, Syracuse, Tulsa, and Charlotte.

Currently she is the Director of Mental Health with the Charlotte Area Health Education Center / Regional Education. Margaret is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nurses Honor Society.
